Please return your pledge sheets
We have set a $65,000 goal for our annual pledge fundraiser. Great news– we’ve reached about 60% of that! If you haven’t pledged yet, please do. Any amount that you may be able to afford is appreciated and helps us continue our ministries including Baby Blessings, St. Mary’s Guild, the little free food pantry and so much more. Pledge sheets are at the back of the sanctuary or the parish hall. You may send them to the church through the mail or drop them off in the office mail slot.

Epiphany Spirit Chats- Please register by Friday, Dec. 27th
Spirit Chats are an opportunity for small group faith sharing. Have you ever experienced a “God-incident” in your life and wanted to share it but weren’t sure where or with whom? Perhaps this has spilled over into your daily life, you want to talk about it with others, but find it difficult to find the setting.
If you feel God has been moving in your life, and you want to hear from others how God is moving in theirs, the Evangelism Task Force—a joint project of the Episcopal dioceses of Maine and New Hampshire—has an opportunity and an invitation for you to share your story as you journey with others during Spirit Chats.
Epiphany Spirit Chats will draw from multiple congregations/ ministries/communities across Maine and New Hampshire. Sessions are facilitated by the Spirit Chats Team. You will be in a mixed group, and are welcome to invite a friend to join you to sign up for a particular night together. The journey begins on January 13th!

Collecting for the Sanford Backpack Program
We are collecting canned food for the Sanford Backpack Program through the 22nd. Please bring in a couple of items– especially canned protein. A bin is set up in the Sanctuary.
‘Reverse’ advent calendars now available
Robert made a “reverse advent calendar” for St. George’s. The goal is to help replenish the little free pantry out front. There are a few items each day that are needed. You don’t need to pick them all up at once or drop them all off at the end. Just do so at your own pace! There are bins inside the main entrance to the sanctuary or place them in the chapel area on the shelves.
We update this page regularly, however, there are other ways to stay in the know! Our weekly email is a great way to receive reminders and notifications about any changes should they arise. You can sign up for that right on the homepage of our website. You can find also us on Facebook at St. George’s Episcopal Church- Sanford, Maine. For those of you who are on Instagram, follow us @stgeorgesanford. There’s even our YouTube page, too!
Opening the Doors to our Community
We welcome AA, NA, Al-Anon, Maine Access Points, Lions Club, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and others into our church to hold regular events. Please note, these are run by outside groups and are identified in italics on the calendar. For more information, click here.
