  • St Mary’s Guild Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper – February 17th at 6pm in the parish hall
  • Ash Weds “Ashes To Go” February 18th, 1-5pm in the parking lot.
  • Ash Weds Services February 18th  – Noon and 6pm
  • Stations of the Cross during Lent – During Lent, the Stations of the Cross will be offered each Friday evening at 5:30 PM. These in-person church services are a concerted effort of love from both St. David’s (Rte. One in Kennebunk),138 York St., and St. George’s, 3 Emerson St. (Rt. 109), Sanford, to hopefully give you a way to meditate and pray with us through Lent. Please refer to the schedule as to where the services will be held. February 20 –  The Stations of the Cross with Migrants (St. David’s)

            March 6 – Mary’s Way of the Cross (St. David’s)

  • Episcopal 101. Considering being confirmed or received in the Episcopalian Church?  Join Father Tim to get answers to all your questions. Held in the church on 2/22, 3/1, 3/8, 3/15, 3/22 and 3/29 from 10:15-11am
  • Centering Prayer in the Rectory. Held on 2/25, 3/11, and 3/25/20 from 5-6pm
  • Lenten Potluck Suppers in the Parish Hall. 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19 and 3/26 at 6pm
  • Baby Blessings –  February We will not be dispensing diapers through the parish hall this month.
  • Next Women’s Circle Meeting- Tuesday, March 3rd at 3pm The women’s circle will bring women together in prayer while listening and connecting to one another.  It will take place at St. George’s on the first Tuesday of each month at 3 PM. All are welcome– members, visitors, guests, newcomers, or the curious are invited! Questions? Talk to The Rev. Susan Murphy.
  • Men’s Breakfast, Saturday, March 7th  8am location TBA.  Open to all male members of the larger St George community.
  • Liturgy and Lunch every Wednesday at noon.    Come for community and discussion as we look to deepen our faith. We meet in the chapel/library area off the main hall near the bathroom. Bring your own lunch if you’d like to eat with us! 
  • Updating Our Directory  With the New Year upon us, Denise will be updating our directory!  She will be sending around an e-version of the directory and a link to make changes in the weekly email, and putting a copy out in the Parish Hall and at the back of the church. Please take a look and ensure your information is up to date. If it has changed, please write down your information on a directory sheet and return it to Denise, or email her at stgeorgesanford@gmail.com. She would like to have the directory updated by January 15th!
  • Prayer Chain    If you would like church members to pray for you or a loved one, or if you would like to pray for others, please contact Kathleen Whalin. Please send the name of the person and their expressed needs, if you would like, to kwhalin@morssweb.com. Every effort will be made to maintain the confidentiality of the requesters.

    We welcome AA, NA, Al-Anon, Maine Access Points, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and others into our church to hold regular events. Please note, these are run by outside groups and are identified in italics on the calendar. For more information, click here.
