We update this page regularly, however, there are other ways to stay in the know!
Our weekly email is a great way to receive reminders and notifications about any changes should they arise. You can sign up for that right on the homepage of our website. You can find also us on Facebook at St. George’s Episcopal Church- Sanford, Maine. For those of you who are on Instagram, follow us @stgeorgesanford. There’s even our YouTube page, too!

Calling all singers
Church choir rehearsals for Christmas Eve will begin on November 9th. We will meet at the organ from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. prior to the service and occasionally after services as needed.
Men’s Breakfast
The men’s breakfast will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 8 a.m. at the Hen House Cafe in Lebanon. Come for good conversation and community. Please see Richard Jones if you’re interested in attending or have any questions.
Passing in our community
It’s with sadness we let you all know that Howard Acker passed away on October 13th. Please pray for his family and loved ones. He was a lifelong member of St. George’s. More about his life can be found in his obituary. There will be a Celebration of Life on November 23, 2024 here at St. George’s. A Masonic Memorial Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and The Celebration of Life to begin at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow in the parish hall. We hope you’ll join us.
Baby Blessings this month
Because of the celebration of life, we are pushing back Baby Blessings to November 30th just for this month. We will still hold it from 10 a.m. to noon in the church office (the white house next to the main building). Come for baby necessities including diapers and wipes. Limit one per household. No income verification needed. This ministry is run through the generosity of members and others in the community that make this possible!
Opening the Doors to our Community
We welcome AA, NA, Al-Anon, Maine Access Points, Lions Club, National Alliance on Mental Illness, and others into our church to hold regular events. Please note, these are run by outside groups and are identified in italics on the calendar. For more information, click here.
