Are you a creative type who also likes to keep things organized? Do you get excited to find ways to connect and build community in print and digital communications? If so, we want you!

St. George’s is hiring a Communications and Administrative Assistant. We’re ready to work with someone curious and creative as we explore and implement visions for the current and future possibilities in our community.

This position entails:

~Managing and developing print and digital communications:

  • Collaborating with the minister to develop and distribute weekly newsletters, worship bulletins, and special communications
  • Maintaining and continuing to develop our website
  • Creating and scheduling social media posts and print advertisements
  • Writing blurbs and communicating with local news outlets
  • Sharing about all we’re doing with the people we know, and those we hope to get to know

~Providing administrative support to the minister and congregational leaders, occasionally collaborating with office volunteers

Up to 10 hours per week with flexibility /  $15-18 per hour depending on experience.

A candidate needs: excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; excellent problem solving skills; proficiency in Google applications, Microsoft Word and Publisher; proficiency with social media platforms; experience with web editing.
We hope for: Proficiency in WordPress web editing and Mailchimp email marketing; experience with database management, design experience
